Wow, our Lodge year has started off with some new and exciting programs!At our January the Brothers voted to start and sponsor a DeMolay Chapter!Well things happened so quickly and in less than two months, we have had 6 Brothers complete the required Dad training and have initiated or first 3 members of the Chapter.The new Chapter will be named Ionic Chapter and will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month (summer months undecided at this point) at 7:00 p.m.Now we need some more new members!If you know of a young man between the ages of 12 and 21, have him get in contact with us.We will be having a pizza party and game night on March12th.This would be a great time to have him and his parents come to the Lodge and learn about DeMolay! Our February meeting was our annual Ionic Lodge “Sweethearts Night”.Hartford Chapter National Sojourners Chapter No. 56 provided the program for the evening “Building the Flag”.This is a program where the sojourners build and give the history of our American Flag and was the first time that Chapter 56 performed their new program.Coming up on Thursday evening, April 16, 2009,the Golden Harp Irish Dancers will again be performing for us.This is the 5th year that they will be dancing for us.It is always a spectacular program enjoyed by all.The dancing starts at 6:30 followed by an “All you can eat, Spaghetti Dinner”.Please come and support these young dancers and enjoy the dinnerI look forward to seeing each of you in Lodge.If you need a ride to attend any of our meetings or events, just call me or any of the officers and a ride will be arranged.Our annual inspection by our District Deputy, R.W. Howard B. Schiller, DD-9B, is scheduled for March 10, 2009, on the Entered Apprentice Degree.All Lodge Officers to be in their stations.Sincerely and Fraternally,
