Ionic Lodge No. 110, A.F. & A.M. Greetings Brothers, First of all: Thank you for your trust in electing me to the Oriental East. I am humbled and honored. Congratulations to the elected officers and thank you to those who were appointed for accepting your positions. I am looking forward to a great year with you at Ionic 110. This year my goals are simple. Besides increasing membership with good Brothers and participating in Masonic and Charitable events I would like to get more participation with the Brothers we already have. I would also like to see more fellowship among the craft outside the lodge room. To this end I would like to institute a monthly "Fellowship Night" at the Lodge open to ALL Masons and friends. We can chew the fat, play some cards and/or just enjoy the company of Masons in an informal environment; we can also use the time for Degree Rehearsals along with Eastern Star Lodge. Which brings me to my second goal. As many of us are new to this particular Lodge I would like to get our degree footwork and directions down to a science (within the landmarks of the Lodge of course). I feel it would be a source of pride in our Lodge if we could produce crisp, clean degree work! I would also like to include as many non officers as possible in rehearsals so when your time comes to move into a chair, or if you get called up to help out with a candidate, you will already have a good grasp on what your part is.
